How can the Mummy MOT help me?
Mums need to bend, squat, and lift, so I provide a tailored postpartum rehabilitation plan and functional exercises for you to help manage the physical motherhood demands on your recovering body.

A Mummy MOT is a specialist postnatal examination for women following both vaginal and C-section deliveries. It will assess how your posture, pelvic floor muscles and stomach muscles are recovering after childbirth. Based on your initial assessment, you will be given a bespoke postnatal recovery plan devised especially for you, your lifestyle and fitness goals, including specific and safe postnatal exercises to get you back to feeling your best self.

Who needs Mummy MOT®?
Mums of all ages at all stages. After having a baby, around half of all women experience weakness in their abdominals or pelvic floor area. This can result in back and pelvic girdle pain, incontinence issues, “tummy gap” and more. It’s not surprising to know that many women find these symptoms uncomfortable and embarrassing. These postnatal symptoms are normal, but certainly not something you need to put up with!

When should I have a Mummy MOT®?
It’s recommended that women have an initial assessment after their 6-8 week GP check, but we also treat women who gave birth years ago that may still have a tummy gap or related pelvic floor issues.
One Hour Assessment
Including:
-
Full postural screen
-

We’ll discuss your goals, whether it be easing discomfort or getting back into your fitness routine

your recovery.
